WEEKEND HAPPENINGS!

Today was chick day in town. If you ya know me ya know I am there. Not every chick day. But this morning we all went to town and look what we got (ok what I got). Kaitlin did pick out one.

Got 4 guineas. To replace the ones I have lost.
I like the colored eggs so I choose 2 and Kaitlin chose one,
 (ameraucana chicks).

Getting the supplies to get the little coop area ready for them.
But, first we need to make some room in the shed coop for them.

 Took out the pallet wall.

Took down the really high nesting boxes in the hen house to put them in the shed coop.

Got the little ones bedding, food, and dunked their beaks in water.

New nesting box in the shed coop.

Already a hen was checking it out. Whether they will lay in there and give us a egg is the question?

 Room-mates now!
So the shed will will now house 27 and the Hen House houses currently 37. We really need a new Hen House to keep them all together.

Kaitlin's Project with Dad helping her!
I noticed that our newest (small) Hen-House had a side pulled up and no ramp to get from the coop to the run so I decided to fix that.....
Dad and I are building the ramp

We added smaller pieces of wood so they get                                         better traction.

                                             I'm installing the ramp

                                           Just finished installing the ramp

                                                                 All done!
                                                                                                          ~Kaitlin

Mr. B stopped over and bought over some feed for the steers. Big huge load of grain and corn.

Tim getting it all mixed and ready to scoop.

Ducks doing good. Survivor is the brown small one in front. The 4 in the back row are the 4 babies, they are bigger than Survivor. The 2 black and 1 white one were the same size as Survivor when we bought all of them.

Later that evening we went to a family birthday party. Had a BBQ and celebrated a special one.

~SUNDAY~
Tim and I got up early and headed to Home Depot.
Got some material to start making the new Hen House.

Getting it all strapped down.

More Tomatoes!

Meet the Twins!

I like listening to him crow.

*UPDATE ON ALL 4 Guineas = they all died!

Got the boards put in the barn and kinda layed out what the new coop will look like.
We are making sure everyone has an in-put.

Ended our evening with another BBQ with friends.
Had a delicious meal and yummy dessert.
The girls and their friends had fun playing games and riding the 4-wheeler. Of course, the adults hung out and chatted until late!

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
