NEW KITTENS!

A new kitten, wait what??!!
We had 3 cats. Yep "had"!
Alex (I would say everyone's favorite)
Phantom (She comes in my strong 2nd)
Squirt aka Caramel (She could go without a human-except feeding her, no petting required)

For several months now Alex has been missing. I told the girls I would let them get 1, one, uno kitten. This is to replace Alex. We already have 2. They are already mean. So having one they could pet and cuddle, I understand it.
So we are off to find us the perfect kitty. I want one that is used to being outside, running and hunting and younger. This way we can form it to our farm. One hitch is this kitty will not be accepted by Phantom or Squirt. So we need to work with it and get it used to us.

We just got back with 2 kittens. Not one like I requested.
Not near as friendly as I wanted. But, they were born outside and learning from a get momma cat. Perfect!

But, there is 2 of them not the one I was wanting.

Let's welcome them to our farm,
Tesla (bottom one with white on her face)
and
Panther (top one all black)

Phantom and Squirt don't like them and are very mad at us.
Praying this will go good!!

GRANDKIDS COME FOR THE WEEKEND!!

The grandkids are coming for the weekend!

Those girls (Kaitlin, Isabella Grace & EmilyMae) are my country girls! I wonder what adventure they are planning?!!?

They asked to go swimming. Sure you're at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We have rules!

All the kids are swimming real good.

They are all having so much fun.
We are waiting on Grandpa to come home from work.

Friday night pizza night.
Grandpa (Tim) picked it up on his way home.
Load them grandkids up with junk food.

Brieanna came later that night. She sent me a photo of what she was doing. So proud of her and her achievements.
Color guard is gonna keep this girl busy. I miss her already.

~~   DAY 2   ~~
Tim and I with the 2 younger kids went and did morning chores.
Afterwards we made some delicious breakfast.

Scrambled eggs with tomatoes and toast.
After breakfast the kids went to play outside.

EmilyMae & Isabella Grace were busy catching little frogs.

With the exception of Kaitlin and Tim.
They went out to butcher rabbits.

I forgot to mention Lauren was coming to stay with us too.
EmilyMae was having fun drawing with her.

Lauren took this photo of Isabella Grace.
She takes really good photos.

And I forgot to mention the girls were having a homeschool get together with friends from our big homeschool group.
(Brian, Sarah, Heather, Bethany, Joseph Edward, Amy, Skylar, Rose, Lauren & Kaitlin)

Meanwhile, the grandkids wanted to swim again.
Sure we say. Have fun!!

Later we all hung out with Cosmo.
Everyone got to take a ride on him. Liam went first.

EmilyMae was super excited.

Isabella Grace was like this is a dream come true.

Tristen was like do I really have to smile!

Brieanna was like this horse is bigger than I thought.

This is Kaitlin's new buddy!

We had a relaxing evening with the kids swimming and dinner.
By the time evening chores were done everyone was so tired.

~~  Day 3  ~~
Everyone went different ways. Skylar and Kaitlin took EmilyMae and Isabella Grace to church. Grandpa (Tim) took Liam and Tristen to pick up a trailer. That left just Brieanna and me to hang out.
By lunch time everyone was back home including Jessica and Leith. We all had lunch together then we parted ways. Tim and I had to take the trailer to pick up something. That will be announced in a later post.
I love having my time with my grandkids. They are growing up so fast. I look forward to more adventures with them.

MISSOURI STATE FAIR!!

Again this year we are going to the
Missouri State Fair!

Skylar had sent 2 items to the State Fair for 4-H.

It's over a 2 hour drive. We didn't leave too early but we wanted to at least arrive in the morning time before lunch.

We made it. It's gonna be a hot day!

Check out this teeny-tiny Nintendo.

I never knew they made them that small.

The girls are checking out the jeep.
I know we would like to have one. Just for fun!

Who is ready for some cow chip throwing?

First up, Tim!

Rules are you must be inside the flags. They will measure it and mark it down. They will let us know later in the day who the champion cow chip thrower is.

Next up, Kaitlin!
Who is a really good thrower.

Next up, Krystal!
Yep not that good at throwing. But I did stay inside the flag area.

Last up, Skylar!
Let's just say they none of us are the Champion cow chip throwers.
That would of been cool to bring home the trophy they had.

Now on to the FFA Building..........

Tim checking out this Round Hay barn.

4-H Building............

The tree painting is from a girl in our 4-H group.

Skylar's 2 pictures (The sky with clouds and the 2 dogs).
She really likes photography.

Check out all these cakes. There is some talent in these.
Well, in all the projects, but I was impressed with these. The details on some of them. They almost look real. Watch out Cake Boss!

Our county flag for 4-H.

Poultry Building.......
I like the white silkies.

Tim and I

Skylar got a slushy.

Tim and I shared a fully loaded nacho.
Kaitlin had very little as she wasn't hungry.

We saw this trailer and noticed that the Clydesdales horses are there. We haven't seen them for several years.

The pictures doesn't do any justice of their size.

They are massively HUGE!

(Skylar here) I was looking up how tall 18 hands was because almost all of the horses where that height- its 6ft. The one in the picture is 18.5 hands!

It was so hot that our lenses kept fogging up.

Check out this beautiful wooden wagon.

And the beautiful hand carvings on it.

Beautiful work!!

Horse Barn.......

We got to talk with a lady that had her horse all dressed out.
They were in a show. She explained what all they did and why they dressed the horses all fancy. I didn't know they made ear plugs for horses. When they shoot guns it helps the horses. Makes sense.

We all were hot and hungry!
We left the fairgrounds to go grab a bite to eat and then head home.

Our lunch meal was cheap. Tim and I spilt this sandwich and fries.
And the girls too. I think we were just so hot.

Bonus, we got to see the Ghost Busters car!!
