SKYLAR TURNS 18!!!!

I can't believe my girl turned 18.
I remember going to the hospital to have her. I remember bringing her home and none of her newborn clothes fit because she was so small we had to buy preemie clothes and diapers. I remember teaching her to count, tie her shoes, to read, do math, story time, life lessons, to drive and many other things. Time has flown so quickly. She has blossomed into a beautiful young lady. I am so proud to be her mom!

She is considered an adult today.
Legal to vote. But can't buy alcohol.

We aren't big on wrapping presents. We just use what is around like a blanket to wrap a gift in. This happens to be from Kaitlin and it's her favorite blanket.

Skylar's favorite candy bar.

Harry Potter bandanas.

Skylar has been wanting to do a picture collage on her wall in her room. Kaitlin went through the photos and printed off some really cool ones to get her started.

BEST gift ever!!

Tim and I just grabbed a towel to put her gift in.
She isn't hard to buy for.

Her second best candy!

What's this????

But, it's best to let her do her own clothes shopping.

Skylar and her dad.

A Daughter

A daughter is a wonderful blessing,
A treasure from above
She's a laughter, warmth and special charm,
She's thoughtfulness and love.

A daughter brings a special joy,
That comes from deep inside.
And as she grows to adulthood,
She fills your heart with pride.

With every year that passes,
She's more special than before.
Through every stage, through every age,
You love her even more.

No words can describe the warm memories,
The pride and gratitude, too.
That comes from having a daughter,
To love and to cherish...just like you!!!

Tim made her some breakfast.
Pancakes and bacon!

And we served it to her on the special plate.

For lunch I made her favorite chicken bake.
Then she headed off to work. We will take what we can of her time as she is busy working and going to school.

Happy 18th Birthday Skylar!!!!

We love you!

Isn't this candle holder just beautiful!

We had some great proformances with some piano playing and singing and a ASL proformance.

Skylar wanted an ice cream bar this year.
So let's do this fast as I put 18 candles on her ice cream.
It just glows!
