PUTTING AWAY SOME MEAT!

Now let's get this meat put away in some bags for the freezer.

We will cook one and freeze one.
The remainder turkeys will be parted.

Tim and Kaitlin worked on parting all the turkeys.
Now we are at the point of bagging them.

Kaitlin worked on removing the extra meat off of the carasses.
We will grind that meat.

Some of the turkey breasts were weighing 4-5 lbs. a piece.

We got out the meat grinder.
This thing works great.

7 1/2lbs of ground turkey meat.

For dinner we made homegrown turkey legs and homemade/homegrown sweet potato fries.

Another great day on the homestead. And in between all of this we stopped and went to the hospital to see our new grand baby. The baby is precious. I wish I could share more, but I will respect the family's wishes not to post any pictures.
