ADDING MORE ANIMALS

Things are changing daily here on the homestead. First of all those Meaties are getting BIG and HEAVY! So moving them out daily to free range was getting exhausting. We found a dog kennel/run on the property. We had to remove 2 trees that was growing through it and all the bushes too. We put them in our barn area so they could have shelter but also free range.

4 STEERS AND A BULL

Yes you read that right. And yes we are crazy. No we don't know anything about them nor have ever taken care of them. They are ours now. Ok they are ours here on our homestead and we will take care of them daily but we are co-owners of them. A friend of ours is teaching us.

 When he delivered them to our pasture they didn't want anything to do with us.

After seeing them we weren't sure we did either.

 But, the next day and then after that they got curious about us as we were with them.

Feeding time 

 We call him Mask (I don't think I need to point him out)

the other one we call Red.

 We call these 2 Fern and Milky Brown
AKA I call them Peanut Butter and Creamy

It gets your a adrenaline going when you enter the pen and feed them. They aren't so scared of you. They want food and want to be right there to get it. We have a short time with these guys as they will go to auction in September. We plan on adding cows (NOT the milking kind). We just aren't sure when, as we still need to add more fencing. So stay tuned for that.
