HAWAII DAY 1!

Tim and I left for the airport early in the morning. It was almost 4:30am. The airport is a hour drive from our house. We have a long flight taking us to

HAWAII!

The girls are taking care of the homestead. Skylar and Kaitlin will be posting the happenings from the homestead.

Tim and I are on the plane heading to LAX airport. Once we landed there, we were shuttled to the next flight. It was all hurry, hurry, hurry! We all were praying our luggage would make it on the flight with us.

Got our luggage from the airport in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are on a shuttle bus taking us to the hotel.

Very nice hotel. This is our view from our room.
After a quick unpacking, change of clothes and quick freshen-up, we headed out to get some food. We all were hungry after flying for over 10 hours. Not much for breakfast and not much served on the flight.

We all meet over at a restaurant called Duke's. It was a very good and we sat near the beach area and watched the sunset.

Afterwards, Tim and I took a long walk along the beach.

Our home for the next week, the Moana Surfrider Hotel.
The hotel opened back in 1901.

This is a Banyan Tree. These trees are found all around in Hawaii. They are not native to the islands. The first tree was planted in Maui in 1873.
