OUR TOWN'S PICNIC & DATE NIGHT!!

Our little town has a Town's Picnic every year.
It has tons of things happening from Thursday night until Saturday night.
This year we had:
Farmers market, Food vendors, Bands on 3 different nights, Bingo, Petting Zoo, Carnival Rides and Games, Illusionist, Fishing Derby, Golf Tournament, Tennis ball race, Bake-off auction and tons more.

Tim and I went to the first night and listened to the band.
They are the Brothers Walker.
Not only did they sing really great but entertained too.

They had a booth set up so we ended up buying 3 of their CD's.
We liked them that much.

Here is a little sample...

Brothers Walker performing on stage at our park.

Our second night, Tim and I went to listen to the band playing.
They were called 7eventh Time Down. We also watched Illusionist Bryan Drake.

In between the picnic stuff happening Tim and I had reservations at a cabin for dinner. It's a chuck wagon meal.

They served us ice tea with chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans and a corn bread roll. For dessert Tim got the apple cobbler and I had the peach cobbler. Both were delicious.

I liked the sign. They had one for cowboy but ya know ya hardly ever see one for a cowgirl and it's not pink.

This is the cabin where we ate our meal at.

Everything was decorated rustic and cowboy themed.

Welcome sign for the bakery shop.

The out door cook area they cooked our meal at.
They use cast iron pans. Even had coffee going on the fire. It was super hot out and people were ordering it. If you have never had cowboy coffee before you are missing out.

We finally made it to the picnic and meet up with some friends.
Tim, Krystal, Shanon and Georgia
(Craig and Genevieve were on the other side of Tim)

Our girls also showed up.

Not only were we stuffed from our meal at the cabin but we insanely had to have this dessert.

Nacho Ice Cream
It was really good and super expensive.

We had a wonderful evening visiting with friends.
