WEEKEND HAPPENINGS!

Spring has Sprung!

It sure has been busy around here on the homestead. Adding more chores with the spring season.

Adding more meat chicks!

They are so little.

The other chicks aren't so sure about the new roomies.
Here in about another week they will be ready to go out.

The older meaties are growing fast. We are moving them daily in the pasture.

** UPDATE ON MISS BOSS **
There was a few things that happened and I wasn't sure of the outcome but, finally a baby chick is here. Funny how this one is yellow but Sassy-Pants has all black. It's nice to mix it up.
All is well with her and she is caring for her baby chick. No other eggs will hatch, she only has one to care for.

The cows and two calves are getting moved daily.
We have a new water system that Tim got set up for them.
It is working great so far. We just move it when we move them.

Look who all is coming for the weekend!
While I was in town with the girls we went and picked up almost all of my grandkids. They all are so special to me.

PLANTING!

We have been collecting boxes. Lots of boxes!
We will lay them down to help with weeds and to add to composting.

Rows and Rows are going in.
We planted onions (different types), asparagus, corn, popcorn, lettuce (different types), carrots (different types) and cabbage.

Hope's new friend.
This goose has been hanging around for several days now. Not sure what the story with her is. Her other family members keep honking at her but she stays right beside Hope. All day and all night. When Hope barks, she honks.

Day two of Planting!

This picture is so precious. This little girl can plant and wants too.
She loves all of this and she is my little farm girl.

Planting water melon! Yum!

We got in watermelon, melon, pumpkin, zucchini, sweet potatoes (different types) and broccoli.

While we were working in the garden, Tim was working on the new chicken tractors.

Finally, after no more honey do's he got it done!

The only thing he had left was to make the hanging feeders and a waterer. Skylar and Tim got them moved over to the new tractor.

Looks good and is easy to move.

This goose with the chickens and cuddles.
She doesn't seem like she is gonna leave anytime soon.
So we decided to name it.

Goosetopher!
(Like Christopher but with 'goose')

(We also call it Gooseton, like Gaston from
Beauty and the Beast :P ~Skylar)

Goosetopher and Hope!

We had a very busy but productive weekend.
Thanks for coming along!

Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seeds according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the third day.

~Genesis 1:11-13
