WEEKEND HAPPENINGS!

Taking care of anything is not an easy task. We care for our family. When you start adding animals in the mix, well you care for them too. So it is hard when one dies, human or animal.
Loss is part of life. But it still hurts!

Ya'll have already meant Bolt.
Little Brown Cow was his mommy. The end of last week WE became his mommy. We as a family had to figure out how to care for this little guy and have him trust us. For the 2 short months of his life, his family has had him stay away from us. Now we are making him come to us. Confusing for a animal who just lost their mama.

We had Hope go in with him to give him a little company. As of Sunday night Bolt is coming up to us and is calmer. He is drinking from a bottle and eating sweet feed, pellets and alfalfa hay. Not sure of our plans with him as our main concern is keeping this little guy alive.

Lots of stuff is still happening on the homestead....
Baby chicks are still hatching.....

Alex had her kittens.......

Five of them!

Phantom had three kittens.......

And Sundae had four little ones.

Aren't they all cute!

We got the duck in the pond. She swam all the way across. I don't think we will keep her out just yet.
*(I don't know if this duck is a male or female yet) So for now I will call her a "her".

Started seed sprouting.
I have heard the benefits of eating sprouted foods are really nutritional for you. So we are gonna give it a try. Why not?!

I don't know if it is raining where you are?
It has been raining here all week long. Rain doesn't stop us much. So in the rain we took the girls geocaching this weekend. The girls have done it before and really liked it.
It was fun!

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect...
