Texas Daughter Visits

I call her my Texas daughter!!!

No parent likes it when their child moves away. They really don't like it when they move almost 600 miles away.

But, when she says she is coming back for a visit, it makes her mother's heart so happy!!!!

Day 1
I cooked up a roast and all the fixin's.
We chatted and picked up where we left off.
They even brought their puppy Rocket.

Tim, Krystal, Skylar, Isaac and Kaitlin

Kaitlin and Skylar

We played some card games.
We knew they were tired from their long drive in. We are soaking up as much time with them as we can before they leave again.

Day 2
No pictures except at our Fall/Halloween party.
We just hung out and cooked and decorated together.

Day 3

We had quite the house full.
(Skylar and Isaac slept in the basement, Javier on a cot in the dining room, Brieanna in her room, Kaitlin and Lauren shared a bed and Tim and I had ours. Each dog had their kennel)

Lauren and Tim playing with Rocket. He sure enjoyed everyone. We enjoyed having him.

Krystal and my beautiful Skylar

Another beauty Lauren and Krystal

We went to an escape room. It was a success!!!!
We had 12 minutes to spare.
We rode the streetcar down to Crown Center and Union Station.
It was so much fun and we grabbed some coffee to warm us up.
It was a little cooler and the rain didn't help.

We wrapped up our last night at a favorite old time restaurant and headed back home to play Pictionary.
Kaitlin got home and was able to join us.

Skylar and Isaac got up early to make their 600 mile journey back to Texas.
Of course I cried. I am not sure when we will see her again. So many changes going on and winter coming. It is so hard not having her here for the holidays. We understand her job and she doesn't live close. It just doesn't make it easy for a momma's heart.

Safe travels

Tim and I had so much fun with this little guy.
He will miss us too!!!

So blessed that Skylar and Isaac made the trip and look forward to our next adventure together.
