4-H WEEK

The girls have been hard at work!

Fair is getting closer and closer!

It's crunch time!

For two weeks my dining room table has been housing 4-H projects. They have been hard at work researching, computer printing, gluing, ironing, and much more.

 Months of hard work!
Organizing and labeling each item with a tag.

The done items were placed to the side and nobody to touch them until moving day.

MORNING OF FAIR

The truck was carefully loaded and we headed out to fair.

We helped to set up and then the kids would start showing their projects with the judges.

We went back 2 days later and she got a purple.

 The results are in!
Skylar got 9 blue and 3 purple and 1 pink
Kaitlin got 11 blue and 4 purple.

We helped to lay everything out and organize the projects.
It was a long day but great to see what all the kids brought in that they worked so hard at.

Tim came to check out all the projects and ribbons that the girls got.
Geology - Kaitlin got state on her box

Sewing - Skylar got state for her cardigan and alternate for her skirt.

Quilting - Kaitlin got state with her bag.

Photography - Skylar got state for her chicken picture.

Cattle Appreciation Dinner

The girls are enjoying their dinner!

~~ POULTRY SHOW ~~

This is the judge. He is great and so knowledgeable.

A duck that looks just like ours.
Now we know how to handle our duck.

Now they are waiting for the judges for the results.

Skylar got pink so she is an alternate.
Kaitlin got purple so she will go to Columbia.

WHAT THE RIBBONS MEAN:
Purple =  You get to go to state fair
Pink = Alternate to state fair
Blue = You did really good, but not
good enough for state
Red = You did okay, you could do better
White = you got a ribbon for participation
