Canning Beef Broth

Beef broth. So our VERY FIRST post was about chicken broth. Here is one about beef broth...

Got some beef bones from the store, they cut it up for us.
The bone was about one and a half Kleenex boxes long.
(Sick people have sick ways. Sub 'sick' for 'poor'!)

Add the bones..
A process mom forgot and pulled the bones back out.
Mom put them in her cast iron skillet and browned them.
And then all the veggies and stuff.
(onions, carrots, celery, and garlic)
This process took 3 days to cook slowly in the electric roaster.

We put the jars in the oven to heat them up a bit.
Canning rings. lids, funnel and grabber.

Scooping out the big pieces and ladling the broth.

The jars in the pressure canner.
Scooping out more..

We put the jars in the oven to keep warm until the pressure canner was done with the first jars.

All done! This is all the broth it made!
