Canning Chicken Broth And Slicing Meat

Today we canned chicken broth. Mom started it Thursday morning and we canned it today.
This is how it looked Thursday morning.

This is how it looked today. Saturday afternoon.

This is me (Skylar) scooping out the big pieces.

Mom ladling the broth.

Pints in pot ready to put the lid on!

Pints all done!

The quarts are done too!

Slicing meats

Mom and dad went to the store today and while grocery shopping, bought a whole slicing turkey and honey ham. They had to buy a plain turkey, as the others had mesquite and hickory flavor. (Kaitlin is allergic to mesquite and I am allergic to hickory.) Slicing some to eat and slicing some to freeze.

Dad slicing turkey for sandwiches.

All the turkey sliced.

Kaitlin writing labels.

Mom sealing the bags.

Slicing ham! Yum!

Me: Weighing and packaging. Dad: Slicing
