Field Trip! Harry S Truman.

Yesterday (June 12th) we went on a FIELD TRIP! To the Harry S Truman Home, Visitor Center and Library.

Photo op with Mr. Truman.
(Well, at least the cardboard version)

It looks like the Visitor Center used to be a stable!

Funny pic of Harry and his wife Bess.

Picture in front of a cool window.

Random pic of a building.

The Library. . . . .

A supposed replica of his office at the White House.

Listening to commentary on some of the sets.

The Lone Ranger was playing on an old-fashioned TV.

How the sky would have looked when Japan got bombed.

A couple of us had a tour for the Truman House, we unfortunately couldn't all get a tour at the same time. So we left the library and went across the street from the house to the Nolan House.
Fun Fact: Harry was at his aunt's house, returned a cake plate to the house across the street and met Bess.

Checking out all the old phones they had.

 Bess.

 Harry.

A neat  lookin' door

The outside of the Nolan Home.

The hexagons  on the sidewalk.

Pics outside the Truman Home. We weren't allowed to take pics inside.

After the Truman house we went to lunch. This was a courthouse we saw on the way.

And after lunch we went back to the library...

 The Eternal Flame Of Freedom.
(but you couldn't tell that from the picture at all.)

Bess and Harry's graves.

Harry S Truman.
Fun Fact: Harry doesn't have a middle name. Its just an initial supposedly-supposedly from his grandfather.

Bess Wallace Truman.

This is the headstone of Margret and Clifton. Harry and Bess's daughter and son in law.
We don't know if that's their grave though.

His study.

 A bell outside the library.

And the outside of the library.

Hope you enjoyed this post! And all of our other posts too. . .
