We got up Saturday morning and took a walk on our homestead.
This is the pathway to the Vineyard Garden. In last nights video and pictures this was totally under water.
Part of the ditch shifted.
Washed away the dirt leaving the septic pipe exposed.
Water is draining under the concrete.
The waters ran over the plants and washed away the hay and cardboard.
The green beans survived! Thank you, Lord!
You can see where the water was flowing across the garden.
Look how wide the path was.
The meaties are almost dry.
We walked down to the woods.
When we first saw this, we thought were did all this come from?
Look at all the debris!
There is a huge ditch that the previous owners used for ALL their trash.
Lots of trash bags and some are opened.
Yep, that is two recliners.
A table.
Chairs, beer cans, a smoker and trash bags.
Logs Tim cut down.
It moved the logs around 50ft.
The septic pipes that were exposed, we think all this dirt come from there. That would of been about 100ft.
The path to the creek. All the plants are layed over. We can see the amount of water coming through and washing down to the creek.
This is were the elderberry plant was standing over 6ft. Now it is layed down to the ground.
The creek isn't usually this high. On a norm we can walk across.
There was previous debris and tree branches in this creek. It is now all cleared down the path.
Trees are down.
More trees down and laying across the creek farther down.
This area was full of brush. Its now all cleared and a couple of trees down.
More trees down.
This is gonna be a several weekend project to clean up.
