It's been a busy, cold rainy season. Planting has been a little difficult in between the rain. The vegetable garden was first priority to get in. The next was our herb garden.
Tarragon
Cilantro
Parsley and tarragon
Since my girls were off at camp for a week, my granddaughter Isabella Grace came to stay with me.
We harvest a bunch of goodies to put in the dehydrator.
She cut the stems off of the dandelions.
We got one dehydrator ready and fully loaded with dandelion flowers and leaves, rosemary, hyssop, plantain and peppermint.
We loaded the second dehydrator with white clover and dandelion flowers.

Isabella Grace kissing cabbage
I kissed the cabbage
If you are wondering about the kissing the cabbage thing
Justin Rhodes kisses the cabbage when he sees it. He is a homesteader Youtuber that we watch. It's a thing!
Tim (Grandpa), Krystal (Grandma) with our beautiful granddaughter Isabella Grace.
Purple carrots
Snap peas
We are out harvesting what is ready.
And tasting everything fresh. This little girl is learning all kinds of new things and where her food is grown.
Isabella Grace being silly with the peas.
This is what we got today.
Cauliflower pickin'
Cauliflower face!!
Sweet peas are really sweet.
We gave these a quick blanch and bagged for the freezer.
Don't forget the homemade strawberry jam. Super excited for the first harvest off of our 300 strawberry plants. Not only are they picked and ate daily and the wild rabbits took out several. We were able to harvest some too.
Isabella even had time to play with the dogs.
Nothing like being a kid outside in the country.
