4-H FASHION SHOW!

Columbia here we come!

Had a busy day before we left. It's always hard to leave the homestead. Being responsible for animals, its always hard to leave. We have a great neighbor that comes over and takes care of them.
Bless their family for doing this.

We got checked into the hotel. Yup it's night.
Decided to stay the night because Kaitlin needs to check in at 8 am.

Skylar and Kaitlin are heading down to the pool.
We are the cool parents that just let our girls go by themselves.

No they are meeting some friends at the pool.

Keely, Gavin, Skylar, Kaitlin, and Tim
I didn't swim.

We loaded up our suitcases back in the truck.

We got some breakfast.

We are here at MU!

We are just about to head in and get her registered.

Got Kaitlin checked in and she has her fashion show clothes on.

Kaitlin has her runway number on.

Kaitlin and Gavin
We will leave them here for a couple of hours and then come back in the afternoon for the show.

This is a fashion show for all of the counties in Missouri in 4H.
It's for sewing, crocheting, knitting and bought clothes. They do this once a year in Columbia at the University.

They will be in educational classes and have lunch before the fashion show in the afternoon.

After we got Kaitlin dropped off, we headed to a Antique Flea Market. This place was huge. We are gonna be here for hours.

I keep telling myself this.

Such childhood memories with this Fisherprice School Days Desk.

I can't resist trains.

If Kaitlin was here she would be asking for this spinning wheel.

We like to make coffee in this.

I used to have two of these hanging on my wall in my bedroom.
Such memories!

That is just a lot of stuff. This place was just full-rooms and rooms full. Some areas you couldn't even walk in. Don't know how they would sell anything that way.

Do you remember Mrs. Buttersworth?
We use to have her in our house and poured her on my pancakes/waffles. It brings back memories of watching the commercials.

I had one of these bags I use to keep my barbies in.

Tim thought he was interested in this saw.

Check out this bottle.
Yep it is a branch that grew through the handle of the bottle.
Now that is a keeper.

We are in the Jesse Building.

One of the 4-H speakers at the Fashion Show.

There is Kaitlin doing her runway walk.
The lights were so bright that it washed everyone out.

They not only have to do the runway walk but they have to speak too.

She finished and now is taking her seat.

The university has so much history. We could of spent a day just walking around. Perhaps we will do that another time.

Kaitlin was excited for the honor to be at the fashion show. It was a great experience and she met new friends.

Skylar and Kaitlin

We are checking out some of the history on the walls before leaving.

Heading home!

Missouri River

Glad we went but glad we are going home.
