Since Saturday was a little gloomy, I decided Soup sounded YUMMY!
I used most everything from what we have grown except for the carrots.
Charcoal out with her babies.
We moved her back to the Banty coop.
Red Riding Hood with her two little chicks.
The rest of her eggs didn't hatch.
Later in the afternoon, we headed out for a birthday party.
We were thankful the rain didn't take over. The kids even got to enjoy a homemade slip 'n slide. It was a little cooler out but the kids and some adults had some water fun.
~~~SUNDAY~~~
Kaitlin and I headed down to the garden to pick a few tomatoes.
There was more there than we thought.
We decided to see what might be ready in the Vineyard Garden.
By that time Tim and Skylar came down to give us a hand.
Glad Tim was there. He had the wagon so loaded he had to pull it up the hill.
Got 6 heads of cabbage and 6 melons.
I cleaned up the cabbage and put it in my fermenting pot.
Melons we will cut them up to eat.
Looks like we will be canning tomatoes next week.
Skylar made lunch for us, using stuff from our garden.
Yummy homegrown green beans and a cheese burger.
We got a couple of new roosters to add to our flock.
This is a BIG Buff Orpington Rooster.
We don't have a name for him yet.
This is the second one. He is a Americana Rooster.
I really like his coloring.
If you want to help name these two roosters, please leave a comment of any suggestions below!
