Tim even got to try out his new chainsaw.
Remember the one that came in a million pieces that he had to put together? Yep, it works great he said!
I got to dump the bed.
Looks like we will be needing to split some wood soon.
Today is the day to clean out the shed. It housed the broilers. We just recently moved them into tractors. Next step is moving out the baby chicks that Ms. Boss hatched out. We have 7 silkies and 3 mix chicks.
Got them moved and they are very skittish now that we moved them. Leaving us a open stall for anything that might come up.
Snow had her babies and Kaitlin recounted them.
Two days makes a difference.
The cows are getting very curious and coming up to the fence.
They won't let any of us but Skylar touch them.
She was able to feed two of them some grass.
For the past week we have been working on finishing up chicken tractors. We have been moving the meat birds (broilers) out to pasture. We have been moving hens and roosters out to the garden when we get a tractor done. It's been some hard work. Moving the tractors a long ways has been hard. Today we are using a trailer to get this tractor from pasture to the garden area. Let's not mention trying to catch free range chickens and roosters. It's just been exhausting.
Remember those two little ducks I got recently.
Yep, they changed their color and got bigger.
They other ducks still don't like them. It's Mr. White (White Pekin Duck). I thought maybe because one of them is a male. He just doesn't like either of them period!
Sassy-Pants and her little babies.
She hatched out 5 Buff Orpingtons and 4 Barred Rock/Jersey Giants.

The last chicken tractor to finish up.
Tim is wrapping the lower half with hard wire cloth.
We are doing the door the same way.
We all got the metal bars on.
Now adding the chicken wire to the open sides.
Got it numbered.
Now to get it to the garden and start putting chickens in it.
Tractor #5 has the Silkie Rooster, Banty Hen and several random hens. Giving us a total of 8 hens to 1 rooster.

Tractor #6 has 1 Rhode Island Red Rooster and 8 hens.
Tractor #7 has 1 Golden Comet Rooster and 7 hens.
Tractor #8 has 1 Ameraucana Rooster, 4 hens and 2 Ameraucana Mixes, 2 Brown-leg horns and 1 Silver-laced Wyandotte.
