We have been waiting for weeks for her to deliver.
Daddy (the male rabbit - on loan) was with her for 3 1/2 weeks.
Counting the the first week after they were first together she should of delivered 2 weeks ago. We were beginning to wonder if she was pregnant. She waited until the last week with Daddy to get pregnant, just to make us wait longer.
Temperatures dropped below freezing. The babies were so cold we put them all (4) under a heat light. One of them wasn't doing good. Now we wait. It seems like we do that a lot around here. Amber had put lots of straw in the box along with her fur. It just didn't seem to be enough.
We decided to put some bags up to block any extra wind that might blow just to help keep the babies warmer.
Amber is taking good care of the babies and keeps adding more fur.
Putting the bags up has helped and the babies are staying warmer. We did lose one. That's a sad thing. It just had a rough start.
Rain's babies are out of the box and very active.
All four of them are so cute!
