Steamboat Arabia

Mkay, So on March 27th we went on a field trip to Steamboat Arabia. It was very interesting and educational. It's a steamboat that got sunk in the Missouri River.

The long one is the boat, under ground. And if you can see it on the right towards the top is a semi truck to show how big it is.
Here is part of the boat, when the boat sunk, all the oxygen was pushed out from the bottom and since it was underwater (moist) everything was well preserved. There was a lot of cargo and here are some pics of it!

Dishes that have NEVER been eaten off of before!

 Perfume for men and women

Beads, beads and beads..some tiny, some very fragile.

 Earrings

Lots of dishes!

Wait there's more!
Cast iron tea kettles and pots. In perfect condition!
Which mom really wants!

 Clothes pins galore!

Cast iron..irons

And lots of buckets!

Some cigars...

Lots of pocketknives!

 A tool box

Boots, guns and gunpowder (the gold things would have had gun powder stored in them)

Some drinks and canned fruit/vegetables

More bottles!
The glass in the window is also from the boat of goods.

Wow, lotsa shoes!

How a house would be set up in the 1800's

All the nails and screws and things, before they are taken and cleaned

A flat rolling pin and a regular rolling pin.
