We celebrated Easter with family.
Skylar came over after church. She doesn't live at home. She moved out the end of last summer. So she came over. Kaitlin picks up Isabella and goes to church. They both showed up. Jessica and the grandkids came over.
I know Skylar's an adult but a mom still gives to her kids.
Besides who doesn't like a cute stuffed bunny!
It's cold. Once again it starts to snow.
It's Easter --- WHY???
Like tradition we cook up a ham for dinner. The last two years it's been from meat we have raised. It's a wonderful feeling growing your own food and being able to serve to your family.
Smoked ham and smoked beans.
Smoked Texas Potatoes, Fluffy pink stuff, carrots, deviled eggs and Hawaiian sweet rolls.
Everyone was so hungry I only got pictures after everyone got a plate. Gotta get them belly's filled first!
Everybody enjoying their dinner.
It's another tough Holiday for us. Missing a family member. Always in our thoughts and prayers.
We all know our lives go on but it still doesn't make it any easier.
He was a big part of our family, life and holidays.
Remi took a nap in her kennel while we all ate.
I kept it simple for dessert this year.
Besides the basket of candy. I made lemon bars and banana pudding cake.
It was sooo delicious!!!
Since it was cold and snowy we had the kids hunt for their eggs inside the barn.
We did this several years back when we had a couple of inches of snow. We teased the kids that we were gonna hide white eggs in the snow. Lucky for them we only had the plastic colored eggs.
After the kids found the eggs, usually it's a said number for each kid, we came back inside. One to warm back up and get coffee and the second reason the kids want their goody bags.
Liam really liked his new stuffed ducky. He even said he was gonna keep it with all of his favorite ones.
Tristen got all his favorite candies.
He is all smiles!!
Brieanna and EmilyMae loved the color of their bunnies.
Isabella got a lamb.
Some got crafts, or an activity book but they all got candy and bubbles.

We hung out and snacked and played several card games.
We had a wonderful day and valuable time with family. Sometimes it's not easy to get together all the time. But when we do it's something to treasure the time we have for one another.
