It's that time again this year for the
MISSOURI STATE FAIR!!
Come along with us for our day trip. We decided not to head out as early this year. For several reasons but the main reason is we are tired. Not tired of doing what we love doing here on the homestead. We have just had a lot of things going on.
Sedalia State Fair here we come!
We made it.
This is so true.
Here's my new excuse for not dusting.
I really like old trucks.
This one had some detailed wood working on it.
Sign says largest pumpkin, they aren't kidding.
Some were almost 500 pounds.
Image eating a 286 pound watermelon.
I think these things were only grown for size not taste.
Skylar, Kaitlin and Tim
Look how long those chicken legs are!?!
Fabric and paint.
This is crocheted.
Colored pencils.
Yes it is and I don't know how they get their colored pencils so dark. Mine don't do that. But it's a beautiful picture.
Again, colored pencil.
Another one using colored pencils.
In the poultry building.
\
Skylar and Kaitlin outside of the 4H building.
We enjoy looking at all the 4H projects.
Kaitlin's quilt.
Kaitlin's sweater.
Skylar's picture of Shadow.
This one is funny!
This robot/guy was singing and dancing.
I really wasn't checking out his butt!
Even the car was talking. They put a little skit on.
Lego Quidditch.
Nothing more needs to be said!!!
After going around and visiting all the buildings it started a big down pour. The sky kept looking darker.
A little break in the rain so we made our way back to our truck to start our journey back to the homestead. We did stop in at Oink and Moo's Restaurant before we arrived home.
A great day at the Missouri State Fair. The weather was good this year. Last year it was so hot.
