Our plans are to work in the garden this weekend
We have 112 tomato plants to put in.
We have 112 tomato plants to put in.
We have corn coming up in the first two rows. I have grown this stuff before and the raccoons demolished it before I could get any.
Planted two rows of tomatoes.
We also laid mulch down in between the rows.
((((((( *WE TOOK A LITTLE BREAK* )))))))))
Skylar and Kaitlin took me out for a Mother's Day lunch.
This place is really cool and they chose wisely.
They cook your pizza outdoors in a brick oven. It tasteS sooo YUMMY!
Carrot cake for dessert!
You can't go wrong with that.
When I got back home my son, his wife and my granddaughter left me some beautiful flowers.
Now getting back to working in the garden. Before this mulch went down, the weeds were almost starting to take over.
The potatoes we planted are coming up nicely.
Starting to get some strawberries too.
Blueberries will be ready in a couple of weeks. Our wild blackberries are already flowering too.
It was starting to get dark. Just not enough hours in the day to get everything done. We had to go pick up a trailer full of straw.
We also had a beautiful view of the sunset.
And cow company too!
~SUNDAY
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
~Proverbs 31:10-12
Blueberries, cabbage, green onions and garlic all are doing great.
Blackberries and strawberries
Starting to grow are the peas and cucumbers.
The mounds where we planted different types of vegetables are starting to sprout.
The girls got me a hibiscus tree for Mother's Day!
Thanks for coming along with us on our busy weekend!
And to all you mothers out there,
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
